Moisture Detector |
The UnderWater Camera Stuff Moisture Detector is small and very sensitive. When moisture is detected inside the housing, the red LED of the Moisture Detector will begin flashing and continue until you resolve the situation. Below are some pictures of what you will see when moisture is detected.

The sealed electronic circuit board is 1” x 0.8” x 0.279” or 25.31mm x 20.34mm x 7.08mm in size. Attached to the circuit board are the LED and the wires leading to the brass pick-up strips. The standard wire length is three inches (76.2mm) but special lengths are available upon request.

Included with the Moisture Detector is a battery and some 3M Very High Bond tape to secure the circuit board in the housing. The pick-up strips come ready to easily adhere to the bottom of the housing.
The pictures below show the Moisture Detector installed in an ikelite housing for the Canon S90. You can see the Moisture Detector on the right side of the housing.

This picture shows dual moisture pick-ups installed in an ikelite D90 housing. Two pick-ups, one located in the port area and one near the rear seal, provide quick detection of moisture inside the housing.
